Two longtime Windows and Office execs, Jon DeVaan and Grant George, have left Microsoft. One blog says Microsoft operating systems chief Terry Myerson is cleaning house.

  • Clueless article. Win7 and Win8 were both built on the NT 6.0 codebase (Vista/Server 2008) and have identical flaws. Vista client had additional security designed for enterprise management that did not go over well with power users. Vista and Win8 come midway thru customer upgrade cycles with no compelling hardware reason to upgrade. Considering that in the last 10 years Microsoft has been been promoting inferior people into upper management, I doubt that these two will be missed.
