  • sometimes automation tools become the differentiation, providing the "instant gratification" that customers have come to expect from the cloud. While the larger hosting providers offer some tools for partners, they still leave a lot of the "heavy lifting" to resellers and customers
  • Anthony is spot on. This is not just about price compression it's about the lack of innovation and/or not taking advantage of alternative technologies that are built with the service provider in mind. It's not just the small tier players that are either still planning next generation platforms (while AWS runs laps around them) or continue to follow the herd using incumbent technology that is rigid and expensive, the so called leaders are losing ground and still not reacting.
