  • Well, it does seem reasonable to conclude that there will be some foreign push back resulting from revelations that NSA may have weakened encryption standards developed at NIST or inserted back doors in widely used encryption APIs like the one provided by Microsoft. I'm not sure how you actually quantify that in terms of business losses for US-based cloud providers, but it certainly does give European and Asian-Pacific cloud providers some runway to market their services as not being tainted by NSA.
